Siraj gets valuable bowling practice ahead of Test series
For India’s senior team support staff, Siraj’s workload at a venue where India will play the second Test against New Zealand is a big positive. The two-match Test series against the Black Caps begins on November 19.
The pacer bowled 35 overs, giving head coach Gautam Gambhir and bowling coach Morne Morkel plenty to be pleased about before he joins the ODI squad after this match.
Siraj looked sharp with the old ball and was particularly effective with the new ball. His pace-bowling partner Mukesh also impressed with both the first and second new balls, although he was less effective once the Kookaburra lost its shine.
