Patna: ‘Don’t miss a beat’ will be the focus of World Heart Day on Sept 29 with cardiologists in Bihar stressing early recognition of heart disease symptoms and timely medical care.Cardiological Society of India (CSI), Bihar chapter president Dr Sanjeev Kumar said people should pay attention to minor symptoms and risk factors. The chapter will organise a World Heart Day Run on Tuesday from 6am, from J P Roundabout to Gandhi Maidan.Dr Ashok Kumar said more than two crore people worldwide die of heart disease annually. Dr Arvind Kumar stressed immediate hospitalisation after heart-attack symptoms, saying timely intervention can preserve heart function.
