Patna: State energy secretary and Bihar State Power Holding Company Limited (BSPHCL) chairperson-cum-managing director Ajay Yadav on Sunday inspected major Durga Puja pandals and power installations in Patna to ensure safe, uninterrupted electricity supply.Yadav visited the 33/11 kV substation at Shri Krishna Memorial, Dak Bungalow Crossing, Bhumi Vikas Bank on Budh Marg and the pandal near Khajpura Shiv Temple on Bailey Road. South Bihar Power Distribution Company Limited (SBPDCL) managing director Saurabh Jorwal accompanied him.Officials reviewed power lines, transformers, feeders and emergency arrangements. They were directed to repair damaged or hanging wires, secure lines in crowded areas and remove electrical hazards promptly.Yadav instructed officials to inspect networks around major pandals and complete maintenance as per standard operating procedures. He stressed the upkeep of high tension and low tension networks, the use of high-quality dielectric paint wherever necessary, and strict compliance with safety norms.Jorwal said control rooms, fuse call centres, field teams and emergency repair squads would remain operational throughout Durga Puja to address complaints and power failures promptly.
