Ara: A 40-year-old golgappa seller drowned while bathing in the Ganga at Majhauli Ganga Ghat under Krishnagarh police station area in Bhojpur district on Wednesday morning. His body was recovered by SDRF personnel after a nearly four-hour search operation.The deceased was identified as Tarkeshwar Gond, son of Algu Gond and a resident of ward 10 under Sohra panchayat.According to eyewitnesses, Tarkeshwar slipped into deep water while bathing and drowned. Following an alert, a search operation was launched and SDRF personnel recovered his body around four hours later.Krishnagarh SHO Roushan Kumar said the body was sent to Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.Villagers said Tarkeshwar sold golgappas from a pushcart and was the sole breadwinner of his family. He is survived by his three young sons and elderly father.
