Buxar: The district administration has directed officials to complete all pending repair and painting work of govt buildings before Diwali, intensify awareness of the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, and expedite disposal of pending public grievances.The directives were issued by DM Sahila during a district coordination committee meeting at the collectorate on Monday. The meeting reviewed the progress of the Kayakalp campaign, public grievance redressal, land record corrections, theft of electrical equipment, the PM Surya Ghar scheme, the Sahayog portal and other govt programmes.Departments including education, health, social welfare, rural development, public health engineering, panchayati raj and urban development were asked to complete repair and painting work of govt buildings before Diwali. SDMs of Buxar and Dumraon have been tasked with monitoring progress.To boost enrolment under the PM Surya Ghar scheme, electricity officials will set up information camps and display banners at Durga Puja pandals. The administration will also identify wards with high household power consumption and launch targeted awareness campaigns with the involvement of social workers and public representatives.The meeting reviewed thefts of transformer oil in Purushottampur, Nuaon and Brahmapur. FIRs have been lodged, and the DM directed agencies to verify all personnel engaged in electricity-related work.A review of the Sahayog portal found that nearly 95% of complaints had been disposed of. Officials were instructed to clear the remaining cases within the stipulated timeframe and update their status online. Most pending public grievance cases were linked to circle offices, and circle officers were asked to prioritise them and submit action-taken reports.The administration also directed officials to expedite pending land record correction cases and accelerate the generation of ABHA IDs through schools, Jeevika groups, anganwadi centres and among ration-card holders. The DM asked all departments to speed up work against assigned targets and ensure timely implementation of govt schemes.
