Patna: The Special Vigilance Unit (SVU) has registered a disproportionate assets case against Gopalganj ADM Rajeshwari Pandey. The officer is accused of accumulating assets worth over Rs 2.50 crore disproportionate to his known source of income, with the excess calculated at 135.23%.SVU ADGP Sudhanshu Kumar said the case was registered after verification of credible information. Following court-issued search warrants, SVU teams raided four locations in Patna, Gopalganj and Rohtas on Friday. An FIR under the Prevention of Corruption Act has been registered against him, with Senior DSP Love Kumar investigating the case.At Pandey’s Patna flat, officials recovered Rs 1.85 lakh in cash, jewellery worth around Rs 32 lakh, documents of 12 properties valued at Rs 1.32 crore, fixed-deposit papers worth Rs 8.5 lakh and records of 35 bank accounts holding Rs 1.49 crore. The SVU said documents indicated assets and investments worth Rs 3.12 crore.Searches at his ancestral home, office and Gopalganj residence yielded other documents. Investigators are scrutinising property and financial investments. Pandey joined govt service in 2010.
