Patna: PM Narendra Modi will address a public meeting in Jafarpatti Industrial Area in Vaishali district on Nov 21, said BJP state president Sanjay Saraogi after a meeting of NDA constituents at CM’s house on Thursday.“The NDA govt will complete one year in office on Nov 20. Modi’s visit is also expected to bring some gifts for Bihar,” he said.Though the meeting was expected to review the outcome of Oct 23 legislative council elections held for eight graduates and teachers’ seats, Saraogi said the discussion focused on making PM’s visit a grand success to mark the completion of one year of the NDA govt in the present term. Saraogi had inspected the Vaishali venue and reviewed preparations and arrangements on Wednesday. When asked about a sense of discontent within the alliance following the JD(U)’s loss in three out of four seats in the Oct 23 legislative council elections, JD(U) state president Umesh Singh Kushwaha said the NDA is intact and his party’s bond with the BJP is strong as their relationship has endured for two decades. “We have taken feedback from the party district units on the defeat on three seats in the council polls,” he added. The BJP state president mentioned PM’s visit and the ongoing ‘Loktantra Bachao, Arajakta Hatao’ campaign in the state. He also said the districts where a ‘Loktantra Bachao padyatra’ has not yet taken place will be covered after Chhath.LJP(RV) state president Surendra Vivek said there is no resentment in the NDA and the alliance is strong and intact. “We discussed how to make the PM’s scheduled visit a grand success,” he said.Modi is likely to formally inaugurate the construction work for Bihar’s first national expressway (NE-9)—‘Patna-Purnia Expressway’. This six-lane greenfield expressway will start from Mirnagar (NH-22) in Vaishali district and pass through Samastipur, Darbhanga, Saharsa and Madhepura, reaching Chand Bhatti (NH-27) in Purnia. He may also inaugurate and lay the foundation for several other projects in Bhagalpur and Banka districts.
