Patna: The state govt on Saturday reassigned responsibilities to six senior IPS officers, including the police chiefs of Arwal and Patna Central. A home department notification gave 1998-batch IPS officer Ratn Sanjay the additional charge of additional director general of police (ADGP), law and order. He was also assigned charge of ADGP, prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau, after awaiting posting at police headquarters.K S Anupam, also a 1998-batch IPS officer, has been relieved of the additional charge of ADGP (weaker sections). She has been posted as ADGP (weaker sections) in the Crime Investigation Department (CID), having earlier served as ADGP (law and order).At the district level, 2016-batch IPS officer Kiran Kumar Gaurav Jadhav has been appointed Arwal SP. He was earlier serving as police aide-de-camp to the governor. Navjot Simi, who headed the Arwal police, has been transferred to the CID as SP.The reshuffle also changes Patna’s city police leadership. Chandra Prakash, a 2019-batch IPS officer, has been appointed City SP (Central), Patna. He was commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police-10 in Patna and held the additional charge of SP, Cyber Crime and Security Unit.Mamata Kalyani, a 2005-batch IPS officer, has been removed as City SP (Central), Patna, and appointed commandant of Bihar Special Armed Police-10.Meanwhile, 1994-batch IPS officer Nirmal Kumar Azad has been relieved of the additional charge of director general of police (training), Bihar. He will continue as DGP, prohibition and State Narcotics Control Bureau.
