Patna: BJP national president Nitin Nabin on Saturday accused the INDIA bloc and the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) of attempting to create political instability, alleging their actions could serve foreign interests. In a video message, Nabin accused Rahul Gandhi and Aam Aadmi Party chief Arvind Kejriwal of trying to foment unrest and undermine democratic institutions. He said the INDIA bloc and CJP were competing to incite chaos, adding that the public had rejected their intentions. He warned the central govt would act firmly against attempts to create tension and said BJP workers would remain among the people to counter such moves.“Challenging democracy in the name of the Constitution while relying on falsehoods amounts to an insult to the public mandate,” he said.Nabin also criticised opposition leaders’ language, saying the country’s youth were watching their statements and conduct. His remarks came as the CJP staged a protest at Delhi’s Jantar Mantar, demanding the resignation of chief election commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and opposing the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.Meanwhile, Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular) national president Santosh Kumar Suman demanded an impartial inquiry into what he described as suspicious political developments. Citing protests over an FIR, criticism of the Election Commission and Rahul Gandhi’s interactions with businessman Elon Musk, he alleged foreign interests could be seeking to influence India’s political and economic affairs.Warning against foreign interference in domestic industries and economic self-reliance, Suman invoked the East India Company’s colonial-era trade dominance and urged the Congress functionary to clarify his position.Separately, BJP Mahila Morcha activists staged a protest march in Patna, demanding the resignation of Congress MP Angomcha Bimol Akoijam and an apology from Rahul Gandhi over allegations of sexual and mental harassment of JNU students by the MP.Led by Mahila Morcha state president and MLA Nisha Singh, the protesters questioned the Congress leadership’s silence. Nisha alleged that 11 JNU students had levelled serious charges against Akoijam and claimed the university’s internal committee had substantiated the allegations.
